Day 1: Arrival to Arusha and Pickup transfer to your hotel
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) your Tour Guide will pick you and transferred to Arusha to recover from your journey and, if you’re lucky, to catch a glimpse of the spectacular Kilimanjaro which rises from the clouds above town. When you get to your Hotel you will be briefed about your safari then the rest of your Day will be at Leisure.
Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
Earlier in the morning after breakfast the tour departs. First stop is Arusha Town for any last minute purchases before we head off on a safari. Afterwards we head towards the Tarangire National Park for a game drive with picnic lunch at the park. Tarangire is well known for its huge elephant population and baobab trees. It forms the center of an annual migratory cycle that includes up to 3000 elephants, 25,000 wildebeest and 30,000 zebras. Late evening after game drives you will be driven to the Lodge for Dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Tarangire to Serengeti National Park
Earlier in the morning after breakfast you will be picked up from the lodge and Drive to Serengeti National Park, via the beautiful high lying farmland of Karatu then Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Leaving the highlands behind, we descend into the heart of wild Africa - the endless of Serengeti National park, rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see. We head to the central park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park, featuring the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti's species. We arrive in time for lunch and enjoy an afternoon game drive in the Serengeti National Park.
Day 4: Full Day Game Drives in Serengeti National Park
You have two options for your day: either enjoy a relaxed breakfast or head out for full-day game drives around 9:00 AM with a packed lunch, returning to the lodge in the late afternoon around 6:00 PM. Alternatively, you can start your day with an early morning game drive at 6:00 AM, return for breakfast, then relax before departing for an afternoon game drive with another packed lunch. The expedition takes you to the central portion of the Serengeti National Park, with high population of lions and leopards. The Seronera area is rich in wildlife, thanks to the presence of the Seronera River, which attracts a diverse range of species. Even outside of migration season, keep an eye out for lion prides that call this region home, ensuring exciting game viewing opportunities. After a day filled with exploration and a picnic lunch during the full-day drive, activities wind down around 5:00 PM. Conclude your adventure with a hearty dinner and a peaceful night's rest in your accommodation.
Day 5: Game Drive in Serengeti and Transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area
After breakfast you will go for a half day game drives in Serengeti National Park then after Lunch you departs to Ngorongoro Conservation area for dinner and overnight. Ngorongoro is a special conservation area and not a National Park. The whole area is managed for both animals and local Maasai people who graze their cattle alongside the indigenous wildlife.
Day 6: Safari in Ngorongoro Crater to Karatu
Get up Earlier in the morning around 6:00am for Breakfast then descend to the crater floor for game drive. You can expect to see lions, elephants, Zebras, Hippos, Flamingos, Jackals, Rhinos Antelopes and many birds. The birds seen here include eagle, vulture, and flamingos in the Crater Lake, stork, bats, giant vulture, sacred ibis, kori bustard, blacksmith plover, long necked heron and the cattle eagle. Post the picnic lunch at the beautiful Hippo pool, you will begin a steep ascend to the top exit of the crater. With a 2hr drive left to Karatu the day will come to a close, late afternoon you will be driven to the Lodge for Dinner and Overnight.
Day 7: Game Drive in Lake Manayara National Park and Drive to Arusha
The last day of your safari starts at 7:30 AM after breakfast. Then you will departs for Lake Manyara National Park where you will have a half day game drive, lush forests of Acacia and Mahogany trees begin to set the mood for what is waiting ahead. The game drive will go on till mid-afternoon with a small break for a picnic lunch. During the game drive watch out for buffaloes, giraffes, impalas, baboons and the blue monkeys. Another spectacle of the Lake Manyara National park is the tree climbing lions, however spotting them is a game of luck. In the right season, you can see the shoreline turning pink with millions of flamingos flocking there. After Lunch at the Picnic site in Lake Manyara National park you will be heading back to Arusha where you will dropped off at Planet Lodge Arusha or Similar.
Day 8: Materuni Waterfalls and Chemka Hot spring Tour
Embark on a journey led by our English-speaking guide to Materuni Village, home of the Chagga people, a mere 15km from Moshi Town and the last village before Kilimanjaro National Park. Begin with a scenic walk to the majestic waterfalls, where you'll learn about Chagga culture, village life, and the local flora and fauna. Enjoy a refreshing swim before returning for a traditional Chagga lunch and a taste of local banana beer. Dive into the coffee experience next, participating in the cultivation, roasting, and grinding of coffee beans amidst traditional Chagga songs and dances. Savor the freshly brewed coffee before heading to the Kikuletwa Hot Springs for an afternoon of relaxation. Bask in the sun, mingle with locals, or take a dip in the springs. As the day draws to a close, we return you to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your journey home, enriched by the cultural and natural wonders of Tanzania.
