Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
Your Professional Safari Guide will pick you up at 8:00 am from your Arusha hotel. Heading to Tarangire National Park, a 120 Km drive takes 2-3hrs. Famous for its diverse landscape and nine vegetation zones, it features ancient Baobab trees welcoming you on your game drive. Enjoy a picnic lunch during the drive, exploring the 3,000 Sq Km park named after the Tarangire River. Spot diverse wildlife including elephants, giraffes, lions, antelopes, and zebras. If lucky, catch sight of rare species like the tree-climbing python and long-necked Gerenuk. With the highest concentration of elephants, observe unique family interactions. Don’t forget your camera to capture the stunning scenery. After the game drive, return to your camp/lodge for a delicious dinner and a restful night, preparing for tomorrow's adventure.
Day 2: Tarangire Area to Serengeti National Park
Earlier in the morning after breakfast you will be picked up from the lodge and Drive to Serengeti National Park, via the beautiful high lying farmland of Karatu then Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Leaving the highlands behind, we descend into the heart of wild Africa - the endless of Serengeti National park, rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see. We head to the central park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park, featuring the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti's species. We arrive in time for lunch and enjoy an afternoon game drive in the Serengeti National Park.
Day 3: Central Serengeti to North Serengeti
After Breakfast you will depart to morning game drive in the central portion of the Serengeti National Park today and move towards the northern part of the park. The en-route game drive towards the Kogatende region will offer mild action from resident game. As you approach the northern part of the Serengeti, you will notice the terrain change from the usual plain grassland to a more hilly and broken terrain. The northern region offers a variety of resident game such zebras, topi, gazelle, buffaloes, leopards and lions. A picnic lunch will be done during the day long drive itself. Based on the time of your arrival you will able to spend a few hours by the Mara River. The eventful day comes to an end with a heavy dinner and a good night’s rest in your accommodation.
Day 4: North Serengeti to Central Serengeti
After breakfast, enjoy a half-day game drive in Northern Serengeti before heading south towards central Serengeti. The 3-hour drive offers mild en-route game viewing, passing through hill country, the Lobo area, woodlands, and back into the Seronera terrain. Seronera, rich in wildlife, especially lion prides, offers excellent year-round game viewing. Enjoy a picnic lunch during the drive. Conclude the eventful day with a hearty dinner and a good night’s rest at your accommodation. Next, head towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
Day 5: North Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area
After breakfast, head to game drives in northern Serengeti. From mid-June to September, witness the dramatic Mara River crossing of the great migration, where wildebeests face perilous challenges. Lucky observers might venture towards the Lobo valley, known for its diverse landscape and abundant big cat sightings. The pristine valley features woodlands, plains, hills, and famous granite Kopjes, offering plenty of game viewing opportunities. During the dry season, its permanent water sources attract resident and migratory animals. Enjoy a picnic lunch during the full-day game drive before proceeding towards Ngorongoro Conservation Area via Central Serengeti. Conclude the day with a tasty dinner and a restful night at your chosen accommodation.
Day 6: Safari in Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha
Get up Earlier in the morning around 6:00am for Breakfast then descend to the crater floor for game drive. You can expect to see lions, elephants, Zebras, Hippos, Flamingos, Jackals, Rhinos Antelopes and many birds. The birds seen here include eagle, vulture, and flamingos in the Crater Lake, stork, bats, giant vulture, sacred ibis, kori bustard, blacksmith plover, long necked heron and the cattle eagle. Post the picnic lunch at the beautiful Hippo pool, you will begin a steep ascend to the top exit of the crater. With a 2hr drive left to Karatu the day will come to a close, Late afternoon you will be driven back to Arusha where you will be droped off at Arusha Airport or your Hotel in Arusha.
